Wax, or the Discovery of Television Among the Bees (1991), T.A.P.E fundraiser!

AT THE EDGE OF A VAST DOMAIN...

The story so far: Jacob Maker tends to his esoteric beekeeper grandfather's hive of "Mesopotamian bees" in Alamogordo, New Mexico in between shifts as a virtual weapons technician for NASA. He begins having prophetic visions that take him on a trip through time and teach him about the simultaneous past, present and future of mythology, astronomy, telecommunications, warfare, apiology, his own family and all the strange places and ways these seemingly unrelated histories intersect. David Blair's 1991 cult classic became the first movie broadcast over the internet in 1993, but the pioneering work of digital filmmaking that inaugurated the streaming age remains unlike anything else 35 years later.

Wax, or The Discovery of Television Among The Bees will be screening from a rare VHS tape.
