Frequently throughout the year we will be highlighting a few titles that are considered to be "stuck" on VHS, with no physical releases since the format (discounting VHS transfers on DVDs, etc.) for various reasons, i.e. legal ownership disputes, music licensing issues, or perhaps just perceived lack of interest.

Kicking things off for 2026 comes IMAGE OF THE BEAST, the third installment in a series of proto-LEFT BEHIND style Christian apocalyptic fantasy movies from filmmaker Donald W. Thompson and Mark IV Pictures out of Des Moines, Iowa. Preaches the good word via guillotine decapitations, a truck smashing through a house, a giant locust monster, lots of stock footage, and quite possibly predicts an A.I. Antichrist?
