Every year we show exclusively shot-on-videotape works throughout September for something we call: SOV SEPTEMBER. Join us for this year's month-long exploration into the depths of some of the most under-appreciated margins of filmmaking. Usually no-budget, usually put together by small crews of friends (and family members, and neighbors), sometimes over-the-top gross, sometimes transgressive, and almost always like no other film you've ever seen - this series is for cinematically adventurous travelers only!
Hollywood Entertainment is proud to present an SOV September First: an evening of 3-D shot-on-video oddities! We have partnered with the stereoscopic legends (and Whammy neighbors) of 3-D SPACE for an evening of three-dimensional rarities and surprises.
Travel back to the 1980s for an anaglyph spectacle with something for everyone. The night will include an unaired episode of a classic sitcom, local news (yes, in three dimensions!), and appearances from icons like Devo, Elvira, and Harry Anderson. All this plus selections from 20 years of short films by The Stereo Club of Southern California! Magic, juggling, punk rock, horror, and more -- from education to exploitation-- all too deep for TV!
3-D SPACE's Eric Kurland has crafted an elaborate grab bag of red and blue wonder too rare to be missed!
Glasses will be provided. Your discretion about our top secret lineup will be required.
