Sleazy Femme Film Fest is a forum for transgressive, queer, and low budget cinema curated by underground filmmaker Maren Moreno in Olympia, WA. Created in 2025 to showcase short films that have fallen prey to algorithmic internet censorship due to frank expression of sex, drug use, abortion and gender affirming care, Sleazy Femme has gone on to host an array of screenings in Olympia, New York City and Pittsburgh. Last year, the two day festival in Olympia featured the US premiere of Becca Kozak’s brilliant debut feature film SUGAR ROT.
Prepare for an evening of teenage gay yearning, catholic eroticism and monster fucking. Sleazy Femme Film Fest is coming to LA to host a block of the sweetest and scuzziest short films from past and future screenings in Olympia, closing with a 30 year anniversary screening of the SOV mini punk documentary DIRTY GIRLS featuring a Q&A with director Micheal Lucid.
