Night 02 of the MONO NO AWARE residency at Whammy!
In this workshop participants will be introduced to the basic principles of table top projection on an EIKI 16MM projector. Once we cover the basics of film preparation, inspection, splicing, handling and orientation, you'll learn proper care, maintenance for the projector as well as proper steps to set up for a screening; how to adjust image size, gauge throw distance, replace bulbs, set your reflector alignment, everything you need to know to own, maintain and operate a table top 16mm projector with confidence AND a few tricks for loops and expanded cinema performative techniques.
Purchase a new projector recently? Bring it to the workshop! We’ll use it as the demo for how to clean and test a newly acquired projector. A great entry into the world of independent and theatrical projection.
7- 10 pm @ WHAMMY!
